Congratulations to Mrs. Tisha Brown USD 286 Teacher of the Year! A well deserved honor for a great teacher! Mrs. Brown has taught at USD 286 for many years. She is currently the Junior High Social Studies teacher. She is the Blue Devil Cheer Coach. Mrs. Brown is the wife of Brad Brown. She has 3 children, Denton, Jordan, and Megan. At the February BOE meeting, the USD 286 Board of Education approved moving Drivers Education from the school year to the summer. This schedule change will be effective this summer, 2016. The top priority of USD 286 is the education provided to our students. By offering drivers education during the school year, we are sacrificing a course offering. Our large 8th grade class would have required the use of two class periods to continue teaching Drivers Ed. during the school year. We feel that our students would benefit much more from additional course offerings and educational . . .
Sedan High School was honored to host 2002 SHS graduate and Blue Angel pilot, Andy Talbott on Monday, December 7 for a motivational speech for students and the community. Andy and part of the Blue Angel crew spoke to the 6th - 12th grade students about motivation and goal setting. Many community members attended the event.
