Board of Education

School Board Meetings are conducted the second Monday of every month, 6:30 pm in the District Office, 416 E. Elm Street Suite B in Sedan, Kansas.

PUBLIC COMMENT AT HEARING OF VISITORS:

If public comment is allowed, a member of the pubic who desires to address the Board must register with the Clerk of the Board not later than noon on the day of the Regular Meeting.  Please contact the Board Clerk prior to the meeting (620) 725-3187. 

Appropriate topics for public comments are district policies, programs, operations, facilities, and finances.  The public should not address personal matters about specific employees, student matters, matters under active litigation, and confidential information.  Attacks on personal integrity, character, or competency of any employee or student of USD 286 is prohibited.  Speakers shall maintain an appropriate level of decorum, courtesy, and professionalism in their comments to the Board.  Public comments are limited to three (3) minutes.
